This is a mount I modeled up that will work with the RAK Wireless fiberglass antennas. It can be fastened directly on your patio fence and it will even accept the U-Bracket screws. It will sit nicely on a 2x4 and allows for pretty easy assembly. Perfect for a patio deployment.

“Perfect for a patio deployment.”
This mount will accept the lightning arrestor and allows for the antenna to seat nicely on top. All that is needed if 4 wood screws, a drill and a screw driver. I started by using the mount to mark my screw locations. Then, I used the same screws to pre-drill the holes. I removed the screws and then I leveled the mount before fastening it in place by drilling the screws back in. I used a screw driver to finish tightening the screws in because it was not possible for the drill to fit in all the way. Using the screw driver allows for more control and ensures that you don't overtighten the screws and break the mount.
I tested opening and shutting the patio gate and it did wobble a bit but it held up well enough. My last recommendation would be to paint it with plasti-dip or some type of UV resistant paint or primer.
